Prior to Pamplona, Mr. Bills worked for FC, the listed institutional fund management group, Via Capital, a start up real estate investment management group and originally worked for many years in the investment banking industry with Commerzbank, ING Barings and BZW (now part of Credit Suisse) in both Equity Capital Markets and MA in London and Asia. Mr. Bills received an MA in Classics from Cambridge University and is a member of the Securities Institute. Mr. Bills is a Director of Sussex Partners UK LTD. Pablo Urreta Senior Partner, Head of Research Mr. Urreta is responsible for hedge fund research, selection and due diligence at Sussex Partners. Mr. Urreta has spent the last 10 years performing analysis on a large number of hedge funds and has a successful track record in identifying high-quality funds across different strategies. Previously, he was a founding partner and director of Colombitana Ltd, an international trade business in the agriculture sector funded by venture capital investors. Prior to this, he spent several years in the management consultancy and market research sectors in London, primarily involved in financial services and economic research. Mr. Urreta received a BSc in Economics from Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) and a MA in International Management from Regents Business School, London, and is fluent in Spanish and English. Mr. Urreta is a director of Sussex Partners UK Ltd. Frederic Neefs Mr. Neefs has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Sussex Partners he was a partner at Loz Associes a capital introduction company and the parent company of fund of fund management business Alternative Leaders, for which Mr. Neefs acted as CIO. Previously Mr. Neefs had been Head of Investments for Credit Agricole Asset Management where he co-headed the development of a series of fund of hedge funds, the Greenway Funds totalling over 20 billion Euros under management. Frederic has a BA in Economics, Social and Politic Sciences and a Master in Applied Economics and Business Sciences from University of Louvain-La-Neuve in Belgium, and is a Belgian national. Filippo Montalbano Prior to joining Sussex Partners, Mr. Montalbano was one of the first team members of Credit Suisses Private Banks Alternative Investment department which provides fund of hedge fund advisory services, including manager selection. During his tenure, the advisory business grew from 3 to 50 staff, and from zero to 10 billion Swiss Francs of assets. Since 2010 his focus has been on single manager hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, the creation of customized advisory portfolios and advising on the selection of private equity funds. Prior to Credit Suisse he worked in a business development capacity for a Swiss asset management start-up which focused on alternative investments. During his time there the company grew its assets to over 5 billion Swiss Francs, and was subsequently sold to the Vontobel Group. Mr. Montalbano started his career working in corporate identity and corporate design. Mr. Montalbano studied at the Universities of St. Gallen, Vienna and Fribourg, where he received a bilingual Master of Arts in Management. He is fluent in German, French, English and Italian. Jim Neumann Prior to Sussex, Mr. Neumann was a FounderManaging Partner of BN Capital, a structured credit alternative asset manager. As part of that effort Mr. Neumann was also a Board Member, Head of Capital Markets, and Principal at Vendor Assistance Program (VAP), a FinTech firm founded to provide funding to vendors getting paid late by US government entities (beginning with Illinois). Mr. Neumann ran North Fork Capital, a hedge fund advisory firm after leaving Ramius Capital. At Ramius, Mr. Neumann was Managing Director and Co-Head of Investments at Ramius Alternative Solutions LLC, which began as a joint venture between Ramius Capital Group and Unicredit Hypovereinsbank (HVB). At Ramius he served on the Investment Management Committee and was also responsible for underlying manager selection, due diligence, and portfolio and risk management activities. Additionally, Mr. Neumann was responsible for major institutional client relationships including a 1 Billion co-managed fund with Unicredit HVB. Prior to the joint partnership, he was Managing Director and interim CEO and CIO at HVB Alternative Advisors with similar duties, working on both the buy and sell sides of the securities industry for fifteen years, primarily in fixed income trading portfolio management. Prior to HVB Mr. Neumann, was a Portfolio Manager and Trader for Aubrey G. Lanston Co. for six years, prior to which he was Vice President at Bank of New York Mellon for six years. Mr. Neumann holds a BS from Providence College, Rhode Island, and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University in New York. Richard Stevenson Mr Stevenson began his career as a trainee investment analyst in the commodities sector for Henderson Crosthwaite in London. He subsequently moved to Merrill Lynch where he traded on behalf of institutional clients for over ten years as a Commodities VP. In the nineties he relocated to the Middle East as an executive for an engineering conglomerate, establishing links with government entities in the newly independent states of Central Asia. At that time, Mr Stevenson was also a reporter for CRU International in Almati, covering the mining metals industry of Kazakhstan, when he established a publishing joint venture with Kazakhstans Ministry of Trade. On moving to Moscow, Mr Stevenson became the co-editor of a quarterly publication reviewing privatised Russian companies, and the Markets Editor of Russia Review. He was later a stockbroker and a managing partner at Moscow-based Marcuard Spectrum, investing in CIS equities. Before joining Sussex Partners, Mr Stevenson was a director of Capdistributors, a specialist marketer of hedge funds. He holds MBAs from ESCP Europe and Tias universities. Mr Stevenson is a British national. Masashi Hirose Mr. Hirose has 30 years experience in financial services where he has held multiple senior positions and managed his own hedge fund. Prior to joining Sussex Partners Mr. Hirose worked for Pinebridge Investments (formerly AIG) and AIG Japan as a Managing Director (2002 2011). Before this Mr. Hirose was a Director of HVB Capital (2000-02) and managed his own CTA (1996 1997). Before running his own fund, Mr. Hirose was a Director of Barclays Capital in their capital marker division as well as working for BZW Barclays Securities, both roles where in Japan. At the beginning of his career he worked for BNP Paribas Capital, Tokyo, and for the former investment bank, Morgan Grenfell, where he has based in London. Aside from his financial career, Mr. Hirose stood as a parliamentary candidate in the 2012 Japanese elections and founded an English language school in the 1990s. Mr. Hirose holds a BA in Politics and Economics from Waseda University, Tokyo. N. Christine Godfray Ms Godfray is a director of JTC Fund Services (Cayman) Ltd. the Administrator. Ms Godfray was previously employed by Julius Baer Group from 1993 to 2009 in its fund administration business. Following the restructuring of the Julius Baer Group, Ms Godfray became the CEO of Swiss Global Fund Administration (Cayman) Ltd. which was acquired by the JTC Group in December 2015 and changed its name to JTC Fund Services (Cayman) Ltd.
